The camera uses high angle shots and shot reverse shot to show us the protagonist and the dead body. Mainly straight cuts are used as it makes the film run at a faster pace. The music is parallel with the films mood as it adds to the gloomy, sad atmosphere.
When the phone call is made, the audience gets a sense of suspense. A graphic match is used in this film which runs very smoothly. It is used from the scene in present day to a flashback, showing us the dead characters bangles.
