Editing

The two main aspects of editing is the speed of the editing and the style of editing. One type of transition used is straight cuts which are used a lot and help show the pace of the film. Another transition is a fade out. This is where the screen fades to black which is usually used at the end of a film. Dissolves are when an image slowly appears through another which can show time has gone past. A wipe cut is where the screen literally wipes from one side to another changing the frame. Another transition is a jump cut which are used to bring the audiences attention onto something.
